    First question. Will the teachers and school staff be allowed to be armed while in the school? Second question. What does the Second Amendment state? In 2005, SCOTUS ruled that police have no constitutional duty to protect anyone, even if they know harm is imminent. You cannot depend on other people.

    The “controlled bumpfire” is a good analogy. A “double shot” (for the lack of a better term) sometimes happens when I’m practicing my trigger reset, I always considered that a borderline negligent discharge, one could argue it is. Never thought to take advantage of it

    Doesn't work for me. The problem is not getting the slide out of battery.. it's getting a grip on the lever on both sides. The lever is too short. Best thing is to buy an extended lever. Or do what I've decided to do. Don't buy Glocks.

    I find that if I put my mental focus on gripping hard with my support hand, my firing hand will automatically grip the gun as hard as it needs to without me thinking about it, and I'll still be able to move my trigger finger as quickly as I need to. If I do put my focus into my firing hand, it's purely to focus on what direction I'm putting pressure on the grip with my firing hand. If I focus on applying pressure straight to the rear, not applying any pressure sideways at all, then it really helps me pull the trigger straight to the rear as well

    Hmmmm, the gun blowing up is not the issue I see. More the gun just going off. Now certainly the striker is fully cocked. The sere engagement seems iffy and it seems to have a secondary notch in case it slips from the first one. It does have a striker channel block safety but, it seems flimsy and the spring seems wimpy. You guys let me know what in this statement I got wrong.

    I struggle to see the difference between a P320 and a 1911 with the safety off. Saying, "your finger is the safety" is so short sighted in a world where so many variables exist and humans are involved. I think the P320 is a great technology but requires a manual safety in my opinion. Fully support someone who thinks differently and loves the platform...you do you.

    I was talking with my cousin the other day about this issue, and his argument was if this is an ammo issue, we would expect to see other pistols (Glock, M&P, etc.) experiencing similar issues, but we don't. I think the reality is we probably do, but because these pistols already have established reputations, nobody plasters it all over social media when their Glock blows up due to a double charge because obviously it must have been ammo-related, while it is fashionable to bash the P320.

    • @brucegray5139
      @brucegray5139 6 місяців тому

      Hi! I agree with you. Fact is, we DO see such examples of defective ammo popping off in other pistols, but owners aren't posting them and no one is looking for them. On the other hand, the P320 has become the most popular pistol for competitors and avid, high volume shooters, who disproportionately run lower quality training ball, reman, and handloads. Blow a bad round in a Glock or M&P, and it trashes the gun. Do that with a P320, and by design it's easily repaired with a new grip module and an extractor assembly.

    Pretty much everything I've learned about shooting pistols and any improvement over the last two years I learned from watching Joel and Ben,. (And I have one of their books) The most important thing I learned was HOW to learn and how to teach myself how to improve. Feedback and constant attention in as relaxed a way as possible. I latched on to these guys because what I saw was their commitment to learning and improving themselves. If they teach a class in my area and I hear about it in time I'd go just for the intensification experience. and to meet two teachers I respect.

    I've had the "blow out" situation happen twice with my M-17. Both were on the same day. The first was just an unusual report with a stoppage. The bad round cleared in a normal malfunction drill and the gun continued to function. I'd never has a case look like that before. The second occurrence was a couple of magazines later and it blew the extractor out of the gun with no other damage. Both rounds were reloads and both were Tula brass. I've never bought Tula brass ammo, but I do pick up range brass. I've only had a half dozen stoppages with this gun and all of them have been ammunition related without question. I spent a lot of time looking into this and I found that all of my semi auto pistols except my Glock will fire with the slide just a few thousandths from fully closed. I previously called this out of battery, but after watching this video, I now understand the term differently. As noted in this video and others, this Sig doesn't support the case as well as some other guns. In fact when it is in battery, you can see a small amount of the case. I also found that the Tula cases had a reputation of being a little weak, and while my loads show no signs of over pressure, but they are on the upper end of the scale for that powder. I also wondered if the cases were a little long. To prevent future occurrences, I will screen my brass more thoroughly and will certainly eliminate all Tula brass cases. I bought a block type chamber gauge so that I could check a hundred rounds at a time for length. I checked the approximately 4K rounds remaining from that batch and found about 8 or ten that were marginally long, I did fire those under controlled circumstances without issue. I also found 5 that were clearly too long. They were disassembled and the brass destroyed. I also found a couple of more Tula cases that were also destroyed. We'll see how this inspection plan goes. I'll soon be putting lots of rounds through this gun. A slightly different version of this post was placed on another video on the same subject. Edit to add: Since the last post, I found a bulged Tula brass case in a bunch of range brass. I do not think it was fired in my M-17. Last week I went to the range and when I swept up my brass, I found another bulged case. Again, it was Tula brass. We must have missed it when we inspected the lot I wrote of above. There was no stoppage or unusual report. I wouldn't buy Tula brass ammunition based upon what I've seen, and under no circumstances would I purposefully reload it. I now have a collection of four cases and the one I don't think came from my M17 looks just a little different than the three that I'm sure I fired. There was one case blow out in the four.
